Getting started

Quick start

Copy the IP, join, claim land, and start making money.

1. How to join

Java

1. Open Minecraft Java Edition (1.21.11 recommended).
2. Go to Multiplayer, then Add Server.
3. Paste play.nyx-mc.net:25565 as the address.
4. Save, then join. NyxMc is public.

Bedrock

1. Open Minecraft (Bedrock / Pocket / Windows / console).
2. Go to Play, then Servers, then Add Server.
3. Server name NyxMc. Address play.nyx-mc.net. Port 19132.
4. Save, then join. You play on the same world as Java.

Crossplay and multi-version are live. 1.21.11 is the recommended Java version. Java port 25565. Bedrock port 19132.

2. Claim land

1. Walk away from spawn until you find a spot you want to keep.
2. Use the claim tool from spawn, or type /claim while standing there.
3. Expand the claim as you grow. Only build and store valuables inside your land so griefers cannot wipe you.
4. Trust friends with /trust [player] instead of giving them your stuff in the wild.

Exact claim commands may change. Ask a helper in Discord if a command does not work.

3. Make money

1. Gather resources: ores, crops, mob drops, and builds people want.
2. Sell at spawn shops or player shops when they open.
3. Check /shop or /ah if those menus are enabled.
4. Trade with other players, but never share your password or pay for in-game items with real money outside the official store.

Play fair

Rules & guidelines

Break these and you risk mute, kick, or ban. Staff decisions stand while an appeal is reviewed in Discord.

1. No cheating. Hacks, x-ray, fly, kill aura, macros, and dupes are banned.
2. No griefing. Do not destroy, steal, or claim over someone else’s builds.
3. Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech, or targeting other players.
4. Keep chat clean. No spam, scam links, or advertising other servers.
5. Report bugs, do not abuse them. Tell staff if something is broken.
6. No real-money trades between players. Cosmetics and ranks will only be sold through the official store when it opens.
7. Follow staff instructions. Helpers and admins are here to keep the SMP playable.
